What are storage tanks made of?

It is coated with Molybdenum making it more corrosion resistive and its properties are more advantageous than standard plain carbon mild steel. Types of Storage Tanks

Movable Storage Tanks

Movable Storage Tanks or Open Storage Tanks are open storage vessels without covers for holding liquids, semi-solids, and solids which could be subjected to atmospheric pressure or where the vacuum is not needed. It has swivel castor wheels at the bottom which permits it to be moved around conveniently from one place to another.

Fixed Storage Tanks

Fixed Storage Tanks are closed storage vessels with a cover and a manhole at the top. These are used for carrying liquids, semi-solids and solids which should not be contaminated with atmospheric air, dust and other particles.Unlike the movable storage tank model, this doesn’t have a castor wheel at the bottom and can only be fixed in one area.

Vacuum Storage Tanks

Hi Tech Vacuum Storage Tanks are closed storage vessels on which a specific amount of vacuum pressure is held inside it. It is to avoid aeration and oxidation inside the tank for sensitive products such as certain pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. This type of tank offered by Hi Tech is movable with 4 castor wheels such as the Movable Storage Tank. There are manhole, vacuum port, breather, ingredient port, battery-powered light and vacuum/pressure gauge on the tank lid.

Horizontal Storage Tanks

Horizontal Storage Tanks are closed storage vessels which have a horizontal configuration with special features suitable for ease of transportation, restricts surging and has a high efficiency in maintaining the temperature of the product inside the tank. This type of tank is usually chosen if height restrictions are a concern with having a vertical tank.
